Their incredible adventures on an undiscovered island introduce young viewers to the exciting and dramatic wonders of the natural world. Using blue chip wildlife footage, The Wild Ones explores and explains the wonders of the world in an humorous, easy to follow style. 

The main presenters are two dinosaurs – Hubub who is enthusiastic and hungry for knowledge and Squawk, who is quick-witted, smart, and mischievous.  Along with their friends Clam, Enor the Mouse, the Junk Monster and Eartha, a mole-like dinosaur, they face the challenges of surviving on their island.

Using Hubub’s specially adapted periscope – the Umbrellascope – the dinosaurs peer into the wonderful world of nature.  They know that birds sing, but do hummingbirds hum because they don’t know the words?  And what happens to an electric eel during a power cut?
