Beatles’ producer George Martin, jazz musician Dizzy Gillespie and Dire Strait’s Mark Knopfler are just some of the many famous guests at Faffner Hall, a haunted music conservatory, full of music loving puppet residents. The series explores fundamental music concepts and inspires children to make their own music.
Eccentric Fughetta Faffner is a ghost who lives for music. At Faffner Hall, the gothic style mansion, she has built a monument to sound and shares her passion with impresario Riff and other residents. When her dreadful, music-hating great-great-grandnephew Farkas inherits Faffner Hall, Fughetta and her bizarre friends do all they can to stop him ruining the family legacy. And that’s where the fun begins, because they have a whole set of world famous musicians on their side. Nigel Kennedy, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Dizzy Gillespie, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo – to name just some of Fughetta’s trusty friends – give their very best to keep the music tradition alive at Faffner Hall.
