When an old castle needs renovating to open to the public, Dr. Florence Mountfitchet of local heritage calls on Bob the Builder. Unfortunately a case of mistaken identity puts Bob’s father in charge of the job! Tales of the knights of Camelot inspire Bob’s noble team of machines – Sir Dig-a-lot, Sir Lift-a-lot, Lady Mix-a-lot and Sir Roll-a-lot. Meanwhile Sir Spud-a-lot goes on a quest for a suit of armour and a fiery stead to become a champion jouster.
Back at the castle Bob’s dad is a bit disaster prone and accidentally locks himself, Bob and Dr. Mountfitchet in the dungeons. Whilst trying to get them out, he stumbles upon a secret staircase that leads him into yet more trouble! Finally a medieval pageant celebrates the grand opening of the castle and a great father son relationship.
