New York, NY — May 18, 2011 — HIT Entertainment, a leading provider of quality children’s entertainment, has signed three deals for new lines of Thomas & Friends™ apparel, footwear and accessories. LF USA, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-headquartered multinational Li & Fung Limited, will be the new master apparel partner for Thomas & Friends. SG Footwear, a division of the SG Companies, has signed on to produce Thomas & Friends footwear, and ABG Accessories will produce Thomas & Friends themed headwear, rainwear, umbrellas and cold weather outerwear.
As the new master apparel licensee for Thomas & Friends in the US, LF USA’s AME Sportswear division will design, produce and market Thomas & Friends apparel sets and separates. This expands upon the successful partnership for Thomas & Friends sleepwear that HIT Entertainment currently has with LF USA. With the expanded licensing rights, LF USA will develop unique retail specific apparel programs and partnerships for Thomas & Friends. Consumers can expect to see Thomas & Friends apparel from LF USA available at mass, mid-tier and department store retailers beginning Spring 2012.
SG Footwear will produce Thomas & Friends athletic footwear, boots, molded shoes, sandals and slippers based on the #1 blue engine that will hit retailers Fall 2011. Expanding upon the array of Thomas & Friends accessories currently available, ABG Accessories will produce, headwear, rainwear and umbrellas, cold weather accessories and belts launching Spring 2011 at mass retailers.
