HIT Entertainment, one of the world's leading independent children's entertainment producers and rights owners, has today announced that the Mike the Knight trade website www.miketheknight.com is now live.

Featuring a brand overview, detailed character descriptions, and background information on the programme's international broadcast partners www.mikethe-knight.com will provide an overview of this exciting new property for new and prospective partners.

Designed by the in-house digital team, over the coming months the site will include regular news updates as well as additional details about the series.

A comprehensive consumer website will launch in the autumn to accompany the series.

Co-produced with Corus Entertainment's Nelvana Studio Mike the Knight is a new 52 x 12' CGI series set to transport viewers back in time to an age filled with castles, quests, and dragons. Mike is a 10-year old boy with a big future ahead of him. The son of the King and Queen of Glendragon he is determined to follow in his father's footsteps to become a brave and noble knight. With the triumphant motto "Be a Knight, Do it Right" the would-be hero is joined in his adventures by a host of mediaeval characters including his trusty steed Galahad, two eccentric dragons Squirt and Sparkie and his sister Evie a trainee wizard.

As well as transmitting on CBeebies Mike the Knight is also due to air on TF1 in France and Treehouse in Canada this autumn with further international sales to be announced in the near future.
