NEW YORK, NY— May 12, 2014 — Peep! Peep! Thomas & Friends® is moving full steam ahead into Brazil! HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading preschool entertainment companies and a division of Fisher-Price, announced today that it will debut the globally popular Thomas & Friends® television series on TV Cultura, Brazil’s #1 free broadcaster for children, on Monday, May 12th.  The series will join Brazil’s highest rated kids block called “Quintal da Cultura” (Culture in the Backyard), a live action show that features TV Cultura’s preschool line-up.  TV Cultura is the latest Latin American free TV broadcaster to offer Thomas & Friends programming, including most recently, Televisa in Mexico.

Airing as part of the “Quintal da Cultura” bloc on TV Cultura, Thomas & Friends will air Monday to Friday at 9:30am/11:30am and 3:00pm/6:00pm, and on Saturday at 8:45am and 12:00am.  TV Cultura reaches approximately 35 million of the 59 million households in Brazil. 


To further engage viewers and promote the series, a Thomas & Friends microsite will live on the TV Cultura web site and feature Thomas & Friends games, activities and parent solutions.  HIT Entertainment and TV Cultura will promote the series with on-air Thomas & Friends short-story capsules and sing-along music videos.  In addition, HIT will run social media and on-air contests for fans to win Thomas & Friends themed prize packs.
