HIT Entertainment, one of the world's leading pre-school entertainment companies, today announced that a brand new CGI series of pre-school favourite Fireman Sam, plus a feature-length special, have been greenlit. Specifically, 24 x 10’ episodes will be produced along with one extended episode (1 x 22’) and a 60 minute feature-length special, due to commence delivery in December 2013.

Turner Broadcasting has already acquired the new series for its popular pre-school channel Cartoonito, where Fireman Sam has been the #1 rating show since 2009.

HIT Entertainment remains one of the greatest storytellers for pre-schoolers around the world and is committed to delivering more exceptional content with this new ninth series of Fireman Sam. Viewers can look forward to the introduction of a major new location, new outfits for the crew and exciting new vehicles.

The ninth series will be produced by China-based digital animation company Xing Xing who also collaborated on the three previous highly successful series.
