Make a picture by rubbing it out, instead of drawing it.
You will need:
First, use a stick of charcoal to cover a piece of white paper, like this.
Then create a picture using a rubber.
Just simply rub out the charcoal with the rubber, to reveal the white paper underneath.
You can use different types of rubber to create different effects, and for different levels of detail.
Use thick rubbers for thick lines, and fine rubbers for fine lines.
You can also get different types of shading depending on how hard you press the rubber down.
Just keep rubbing out with different rubbers. If you rub off a bit too much, you can easily put it back on again with charcoal!
And there you have it - a rub out picture.
Try it yourself!
