Use this Art Attack to make a personalised door sign that tells people who you are and what you like.

You will need:
  • Cardboard box card
  • Colours
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
Collect together some scraps of cardboard box card, and think about some of the things that could represent you.

Neil's going to make the one that's obvious for him: art!
On a large piece of cardboard box card, design a frame to match your theme.

Here you can see an ornate frame, like those you'd see in art galleries.
Now decide what you'll have in your frame and draw it on some more cardboard box card.

Here you can see Neil drawing a tube of paint, pencils and brushes.
Follow this by drawing, in the same style, your name in big, chunky letters!
Paint all of the parts, including the frame, and cut them out.
Place them down and arrange them in a design that you like.
When you've done that, you'll need to prepare the frame.

Place it face down on a piece of cardboard box card that you've painted to make a background.
To make it look more 3D, cut out some small squares of cardboard box card and glue them to the back of your frame.

These small squares will leave a gap between the frame and the background.
Now carefully turn it over and glue the frame onto the background.
When it's firmly in place, you can to arrange everything into the frame.

The idea is to make them look 3D, so put some of them over the edge of the frame, and tuck some bits behind others.
Perhaps the longer ones can be tucked underneath the frame itself.

When you're happy with your arrangement, glue everything into place.
When you've finished, you'll have something that looks like this.

Your own Name In A Frame!
Here are some other ideas: Nicky must like ponies.
Sam likes his music.
And Paul likes his movies.
