Here's an Art Attack for a bookmark you'll never lose! A Cling On Bookmark!
You will need:
Draw a design onto some thin card. Ideally the design you choose should be something that clings - like this koala. |
When you've finished, cut it out. |
Place it onto some more card, and draw around the part of the design that clings. |
Join the ends of the lines up in a right angle... |
...and cut it out. |
Turn it over, and fold over the edge to make a tab. |
Colour in both bits... |
...then tape or glue the tab part to the back of the bookmark. |
When you do this, make sure that the two bits line up. You'll now have a bookmark that grabs! |
Open up the Cling On Bookmark, and use PVA glue to stick two magnets to one set of arms and legs, and two metal paperclips to the other. |
Leave the glue to dry, and when it has dried you'll have something that looks like this. |
The magnets stick to the paperclips, meaning that the bookmark will stick to whichever page you want to save. |
For other ideas, how about a squirrel? |
Or a woodpecker? |
Or a climber - scaling the side of the book! Try it yourself! |
