Use the frame to make you focus on what it is that you want to draw.

Try it yourself!

You will need:
  • Pencil
  • Paper
  • Felt tips
Lightly sketch a picture on paper using pencil.
Use felt tip pens to colour in different sections of the drawing.

Instead of colouring in with blocks of colour, use words.
Pick a word that's got something to do with what you're drawing.

Keep going over and over until you've covered the whole section.
Change colour and words as often as you like...
...just make the words smaller if you don't have a lot of room.
The picture will soon start to take shape...
...and when you've finished, just rub out the pencil guidelines.
