Here's a dotty way to give your artwork a real punch!
You will need:

Did you know that you can use a hole punch to make a great picture? |
Of course, inside a hole punch you 'll always find lots of small dots of paper. They can be used to make great pictures! |
Take a page from a magazine - faces work really well. Lie a sheet of tracing paper over it. |
Go around all the main shapes of the picture using a soft pencil. Don't put in too much detail - but do line out the dark and light areas. When done, trace the face onto a piece of white paper. Click here for some tips on tracing pictures. |

And when you've traced the picture, colour in the sections with felt tips. Leave some sections so that you can colour them with coloured dots of paper from a hole punch. |
Paste PVA glue onto the section that you want to cover... |
...then sprinkle on a handful of dots in the colour you want. |
You'll end up with a stylised, half-dotty picture. Looks good, doesn't it? |

This one is half dotted, and half coloured in. |

This one uses different shades of green. |

And this cartoon looks great! Try it yourself! |
